KVARNER

Kvarner is the region that connects coastal Croatia with the inland and the islands. Its made of Opatija riviera, Vinodol Riviera that stretches all the way south to tiny town Karlobag, and the islands like Krk, Rab, Losinj and Cres. Apart from the summer tourism that occupies the coast and the islands, the mountain part of the region has developed winter tourism as well.

	1. Tourist resort Uvala Scott** - Kraljevica - This tourist resort has gained its popularity due to extremely affordable prices and great location close to the sea. It is close to town Kraljevica and Krk bridge. There you will find a wide variety of rooms and apartments, some of them air conditioned.
	2. Corinthia Sunny hotel*** - Baska - This beautiful hotel is located on the island Krk, in town Baška. Central Kvarner and the islands:

Rijeka is the biggest town in the Kvarner region. It is usually known as the industrial town but over the years it has steadily built its reputation as a tourist center. If you are planning to visit Rijeka, make sure you take a look at hotel Jadran***, hotel Neboder*** or hotel Continental*** as hotels you might want to stay in.

Velebit mountain range has been under protection of UNESCO since 1978.
