Selce is a small town, once home to fishermen and masons, today a picturesque touristic place. It is located on the northeastern edge of the Kvarner, 40 km away from Rijeka. History and culture of Selce:




The cultural heritage of Selce consists several churches, chapels and an old olive press built in the eighteenth century. The church of Santa Katarina was built before the Roman times and it is located  in the little park.  Inside the church there is a religious relic of the saint. The chapel of St. Juraj was built in the eleventh century and it is dedicated to the most famous saint from the Middle Ages.
