Tourism in Rijeka:

Primarily known as a port and an industrial town, during the last several years Rijeka has started to develop its tourism branch. It is a town of unique location on the sea, while being an hour drive away from the nearest skiing arena (Platak). Those who visit Rijeka can choose between several hotels. A four-star hotel located on the seafront is called hotel Jadran. If you want to stay in a hotel with the best view, make sure you check hotel Neboder, and if you want to stay in Rijeka center, do take a look at hotel Continental. Beautiful Opatija is only 30 minutes away, as well as the island Krk which is connected to the mainland with a bridge.
