1. | Karlovac | Karlovac is a city on four rivers. In the morning, a tour of the old town core with a professional guide. After the tour, there is a guided "4 Rivers" tour through the Natura 2000 protected area. As part of the visit, we will explore the freshwater aquarium "Aquatika." This is followed by lunch at a restaurant offering a traditional menu. |
Sv. Martin na Muri | We continue the journey to the northernmost Croatian river, the Mura. The trip will lead us further through the UNESCO-protected "Biosphere Reserve," popularly known as the "European Amazon," along the Mura, Drava, and Danube rivers. | |
Our path takes us along the "Most Awarded Wine Road in the World," with stops to taste indigenous Međimurje wines (Pušipel, Silvanac Zeleni, etc.). Dinner with a traditional menu is accompanied by a presentation of Međimurje folk songs, a traditional form of singing in northwestern Croatia protected by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. 2. | Sv. Martin na Muri | After breakfast, we will visit a replica of the Mura mill and take a ride on a ferry, a traditional mode of river transport. We then proceed to the village of Peklenica, named after "pekel," the old word for oil that used to seep naturally from the ground. We will visit a memorial park at the source, claimed (though unofficially) to be the world’s first oil field since 1856. |
Kloštar podravski | The journey continues to Drava Sands, a unique Croatian desert declared a special geographic and botanical reserve in 1963. A short walk and photo stop. | |
Ferdinandovac / Brodić | We arrive in the village of Brodić, located on the right bank of the Drava River, where we visit the Karlovčan family's Ethno Estate. The charm of old times greets us in full splendor. After exploring the estate, we continue with a boat ride on the Drava River, in the heart of the European Amazon, enjoying a traditional Podravina feast. The river cruise ends at Križnica Island, located in a protected Drava River meander. | |
Suhopolje | A half-hour drive from Križnica takes us to Janković Castle, where we enjoy a digestif Gin Mountain Creek and taste handcrafted designer sweets. | |
Čađavica | Before the end of our journey, we stop at the former summer residence of Janko Drašković, now the "Drava Story" visitor center and stork recovery center. The center introduces guests to the exceptional biodiversity of the Mura-Drava-Danube Biosphere Reserve. | |

3. | Osijek | Departure to Kopački Rit Nature Park. |
Kopački rit | Kopački Rit Nature Park is a floodplain area formed by the confluence of the Danube and Drava rivers. It is one of the largest zoological reserves, a spawning ground for freshwater fish, and home to over two thousand animal species. The flora includes more than 500 plant species, according to research. A walk along the White Water Lily path leads us to a pier where the visit continues with a boat ride on Sakadaš Lake. | |
Karanac | The ethno village of Karanac is a hub of continental tourism preserving traditional culture. A walk through Forgotten Times Street and a visit to Baranja House are followed by a lunch based on traditional Baranja cuisine. | |
Đakovo | On the way to Slavonski Brod, we stop at the Đakovo Stud Farm. Horses, whose organized breeding has been ongoing for over five centuries, are one of the most important symbols of Đakovo. "The Tradition of Lipizzaner Horse Breeding" is listed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. | |

4. | Slano/Dubrovnik- Elaphite Archipelago | The day begins with lunch. After lunch, we board boats and set sail toward the Elaphite Islands. Dinner at a traditional restaurant, overnight stay on the boat. |
5. | Elaphite Archipelago | A small green paradise. Peaceful islets, without crowds, some even without cars, are the right place to escape the heat and the masses of tourists. Gastronomic delicacies such as always fresh fish, procured from local fishermen, as well as crabs and shellfish from the clear Adriatic Sea. Vegetables and fruit are from the island whose land is still not polluted by industry. After relaxing on the beautiful Elaphite beaches, we head to visit one of the traditional restaurants with Mediterranean cuisine. Continue by boat to Korčula. |
6. | Korčula | The Island of Marco Polo. A tour of the city, its landmarks, and Marco Polo's house. After sightseeing, we indulge in the charms of Mediterranean cuisine, which is protected as UNESCO intangible heritage. Although life on the island has always been modest, with a similar diet for its residents, it has developed into a tasty and diverse local cuisine adapted to healthy ingredients available in abundance. The primary fat for cooking is local olive oil. With an abundance of wine, it plays a significant role in the diet not only as a drink but also as a seasoning. Overnight stay on the boat. |
7.day | Korčula | We continue sailing toward Hvar, with a stop at the islet of Ščedro. |
Ščedro | Ščedro is a protected nature park, uninhabited, making it an ideal island escape from summer crowds. Notably, there is no electricity or water supply, relying instead on cisterns and solar power. With plenty of sun, sea, and beaches, the island offers a unique gastronomic experience in one of five restaurants. The hidden coves of Ščedro will leave you breathless. | |
Hvar | Arrival in Hvar in the evening. Hvar is an island of hedonism dating back to Roman times and the Renaissance. Organized tourism began as early as the 19th century. Before dinner, take time to visit an exhibition of agave cactus lace, crafted by nuns since the 19th century, and listed as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. Overnight stay on the boat. 8. | Hvar | We continue the boat ride past the Paklinski Islands toward the island of Biševo and visit the Blue Cave. |
Biševo | The Blue Cave is an essential destination for many sailors. Located in Balun Bay on the eastern side of the island, it was known to Komiža fishermen for centuries. Since 1884, when an external entrance was created to allow boats inside, it has become a must-see attraction for tourists worldwide. | |
Komiža | On the island of Vis, you will find some of the best cuisine in the Adriatic. This statement isn’t just in writing but echoed by many who’ve enjoyed the variety of restaurants and family-run establishments on the island. The simple preparation of fresh seasonal ingredients has become a hallmark of Vis’s identity: sardines on skewers, freshly caught and uncleaned squid on the grill, baked tomatoes, eggplants, and zucchini are all part of the island’s traditional fisherman and farmer menus. Komiža also served as a filming location for Mamma Mia 2. Overnight stay on the boat. | |
9 | Lastovo Archipelago Nature Park | We continue toward the Lastovo Archipelago Nature Park. Lastovo, the "imperial island," is a place where for centuries, people have enjoyed wine, olive oil, and the aromas of medicinal herbs. Seafood delicacies like sardines on skewers, eel stew, grilled imperial moray eel, and local sweets like "skalice," "fritule," and "kotonjata" are highlights. The scents of the sea, wine, oil, and pine forests complete the unforgettable flavors of Lastovo. The picturesque scenery of the archipelago offers endless exploration of channels, coves, and rocks. Overnight stay on the boat in one of the scenic coves. |
10 | Mljet | Mljet, known as Odysseus’ Island, has been renowned for its gastronomy since Roman times. Monks on the islet of St. Mary further refined it, and today it is presented in island restaurants, inns, and taverns. The island’s traditional cuisine, rich in high-quality fish, shellfish, and other seafood, remains enticing. 11. | Mljet - Slano - Metković | We return to our starting port, Slano/Dubrovnik. After disembarking, the journey continues to Metković. Accommodation and overnight stay. |
12. | Metković | This morning is spent in the valley and delta of the Neretva River, a protected ornithological reserve. It is the second-largest ornithological site in Europe, home to more than 300 bird species. The valley is also known as "Croatian California" due to its vast mandarin plantations and other Mediterranean crops. A must-do part of the tour is a ride in a traditional Neretva boat, followed by eel and frog stew for lunch. After lunch, we continue to Šibenik, with a stop in Omiš. |
Omiš | A short ride on a pirate boat along the Cetina River from Omiš to Radmanove Mlinice. A sampling of "soparnik," a traditional Swiss chard pie, follows. Continuation to Šibenik. | |

13. | Šibenik and Smiljan | The morning is dedicated to a city tour of Šibenik, focusing on St. James’ Cathedral (UNESCO) and St. Nicholas’ Fortress (UNESCO). Lunch. We continue to Krka National Park, which includes the Krka and Čikola rivers and seven magnificent travertine waterfalls. The journey then takes us to Smiljan, Nikola Tesla’s birthplace, where we focus on Tesla’s turbine. After the tour, we proceed to Plitvice Lakes. Arrival and accommodation. |
14. | Plitvice Lakes | A day dedicated to visiting the upper and lower lakes of Plitvice. Plitvice Lakes National Park was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1979 as the first such site in Croatia and among the first in the world. Accommodation and overnight stay in Karlovac. |
15. | Lonjsko polje | From Karlovac, the journey leads to Lonjsko Polje Nature Park, one of the largest and best-preserved natural floodplains in Europe, renowned for birdwatching along the Sava River. To date, 250 bird species have been recorded, with 134 nesting there, including storks, black storks, spoonbills, and white-tailed eagles. We will visit Čigoč, Europe’s first "stork village," with more storks than residents, and enjoy the architectural heritage seamlessly integrated into the natural environment.
