About the accommodation
The lighthouse was built in 1873 on the cape of the same name on the most prominent part of the eastern coast of Istria. It is located about 1 km south of the village Skitača in the municipality of Raša.
The best access is to the lighthouse by boat. The light has a range of 11 miles and marks and secures the sea route to Rijeka and other Kvarner ports.
It consists of a separate tower 5 m high with light and a building that includes the ground floor and first floor with a total area of 160 m2. Within the lighthouse there is a warehouse and a motorboat. In front of the building is a small pier and a boat crane. The lighthouse crew was withdrawn from the lighthouse and was automated and included in the remote monitoring system.
