Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Makarska Riviera
Arrival on the Makarska Riviera and hotel check-in. Dinner and an introduction to the programme, which explores the connection between local food production, tradition, and the gastronomy of the Dalmatian Hinterland.
Day 2 – Podgora – Vrgorac – Kokorići
Visit Podgora to explore olive groves and an olive mill while learning about the production of extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy a tasting of local specialties, including cheese, Dalmatian prosciutto, olives, wine, and olive oil. Continue to Vrgorac and the ethnographic village of Kokorići, where museum exhibits present the traditional way of life in the Dalmatian Hinterland. Lunch is served in a local tavern featuring homemade regional dishes. Visit the renowned strawberry fields of Vrgorac to learn about cultivation methods and enjoy tastings of fresh and locally produced products.
Day 3 – Imotski
Excursion to Imotski, including a guided tour of the historic town centre and Topana Fortress. Visit the spectacular natural landmarks of the Blue Lake and Red Lake. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a local tavern before visiting nearby vineyards for a wine tasting and an introduction to the region's long-standing wine-making tradition.
Day 4 – Katuni – Gata – Split
Visit the village of Katuni and a marasca cherry plantation, where participants learn about cultivating this unique crop in the Dalmatian karst landscape while tasting marasca products. Continue to Gata and visit local family farms to discover traditional customs and rural life. A special highlight is lunch accompanied by a presentation of the preparation of soparnik, one of Dalmatia's most iconic traditional dishes. Continue to Split for hotel check-in.
Day 5 – Ugljane – Trilj
Visit the village of Ugljane and an almond plantation to learn about the importance of almond cultivation in the Dalmatian Hinterland. Continue to Trilj, situated on the Cetina River, where lunch features traditional specialties from the river region.
Day 6 – Sinj
Visit Sinj and the Sinj region, renowned for its agricultural heritage. Explore local family farms producing vegetables, Dalmatian prosciutto, and cheese. Enjoy a lunch inspired by the "garden-to-table" concept. Afterwards, discover the town of Sinj, including the Alka Museum and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sinj.
Day 7 – Split – Klis
Guided sightseeing tour of Split, including the UNESCO-listed Diocletian's Palace. Continue to Klis and visit the Stella Croatica Interpretation Centre, where the story of Dalmatian gastronomy is brought together through tastings of local products and a traditional lunch.
Day 8 – Split
Breakfast and departure.

Seasonal Experiences and Active Guest Participation
The programme follows the natural rhythm of the seasons and offers guests the opportunity to actively participate in agricultural activities characteristic of the Dalmatian Hinterland, including:
- Olive harvesting and olive oil production (late September – early November) – Participate in the traditional olive harvest and discover the olive oil production process.
- Strawberry harvesting in Vrgorac (late April – mid-June) – Pick fresh strawberries while tasting local products.
- Grape harvesting and wine production (September – October) – Experience the island's wine tradition by taking part in the harvest and learning the basics of wine-making.
- Marasca cherry harvesting and processing (late June – early July) – Enjoy hands-on experiences on marasca plantations and taste products made from this distinctive fruit.
- Almond blossom and harvest (February – March / August – September) – Experience the spectacular almond blossom season or participate in harvesting this traditional Mediterranean crop.
Garden to Table – Authentic Gastronomy
The programme is built around the "garden-to-table" philosophy, introducing guests to local producers, regional ingredients, and traditional farming methods. Tastings, shared meals, and meetings with local hosts offer an authentic insight into Dalmatian cuisine and its close connection with the land.
Seasonal Agricultural Activities
Depending on the time of year, participants may take part in olive, grape, strawberry, or marasca cherry harvesting, creating an even deeper connection with local traditions and everyday rural life.
